New data from Norway and Switzerland Statistics The following statistics give an overview of data on the museums in the participating European countries. At present, the statistics do not provide overall or uniform tables of comparable data and overviews in a cross-country manner. The national reports" show that the data collected in the individual countries follow differing patterns and definitions so they cannot simply be placed side by side, into a single table, without many comments.
A first provisional table - “ALOKMI (Abridged List of Key Museum Indicators)" - has been created. As a first step to comparison, it puts together a large number of relevant data from the various countries in a single table. This table gives information about different topics of all participating countries from various years, depending on the availability of the data.
